Although
most
people
do
well
with
Natural
Calm,
I
thought
this
would
be of
benefit
to
those
who
are
having
some
trouble
with
it.
When
I give
Natural
Calm
to
patients,
I tend
to get
very
consistent
results.
This
is
mostly
due to
the
fact
that I
have
already
addressed
many
of
their
other
problems
such
as
chronic
spinal
pain
or
tension
in the
muscles
and
other
nutritional
or
metabolic
problems.
I
tried in
this
newsletter to
address
some of
the
problems
that can
occasionally
interfere
with
getting
good
results
with
Natual
Calm.
TROUBLESHOOTING
IF YOU
HAVE
PROBLEMS
TAKING
NATURAL
CALM:
1. If
you
get a
very
strong
laxative
effect,
very
likely
you
need
to
increase
the
health
of
your
digestive
tract
as it
is far
too
sensitive.
I
recommend
Total
Enzymes,
Total
Leaky
Gut
and
sometimes
Total
Probiotics
for
3-6
weeks
before
trying
the
Natural
Calm
again.
I
don’t
offer
those
items
on my
site
yet
but
can
supply
them
along
with
instructions
if you
email
me.
They
are
also
available
from
many
other
chiropractors.

2. If
you
don’t
see
much
effect
from
taking
the
Natural
Calm and
have a
problem
with
both
nervousness
and
low
energy
at
times,
your
body
is
likely
staying
on
alert
or in
“emergency”
mode
too
much
of the
time.
This
exhausts
your
organs
and
screws
up
your
metabolism
and
sometimes
will
lead
to
hypoglycemia
(low
blood
sugar).
This
can
contribute
to
insomnia
and
sometimes
will
also
manifest
as
shakiness,
nausea
or
headache
if you
don’t
eat
when
you
should.
For
that I
recommend
DSF
Formula
(De-Stress
Formula)
2
tablets,
twice
a day,
which
will
build
up the
strength
and
function
of
organs
like
spleen,
kidney,
liver,
thyroid
and
adrenals
to get
your
metabolism
working
again.
In
addition
if you
don’t
get
all
the
fatty
acids
you
need
every
day
your
cell
walls
can’t
be
constructed
properly.
This
makes
your
insulin
receptors
not
work
very
well,
leading
to
“insulin
resistance”
which
can
greatly
aggravate
hypoglycemia.
For
that I
recommend
“F
Complex”
(which
is
fish
oil,
olive
oil
and
flaxseed
oil in
capsule
form).
Three
capsules,
twice
a day.
Both
of
these
excellent
products
are
available
at the
Quickshop
page ,
I take
them
daily
myself.
Because
this
mixture
of
oils
is
easily
digested
it has
little
tendency
to
“repeat”
on
you,
it is
much
better
tolerated
than
straight
fish
oil.
For
nervousness
and
low
energy
(or
people
who
know
they
have
hypoglycemia)
these
can be
taken
in
conjunction
with
the
Natural
Calm
to
enhance
it’s
effect.
3. If
you
get
the
opposite
effect
(paradoxical
reaction)
in
which
the
Natural
Calm
actually
keeps
you
awake
then
this
also
likely
to be
the
above
problem.
It’s
an odd
phenomenon,
which
can
occur
when
the
organs
are
weakened
from
the
body
staying
in
emergency
mode
for
too
long.
The
body
seems
to
respond
to
certain
things
almost
exactly
backwards
from
what
it
should.
For
this I
also
recommend
DSF
Formula
and F
Complex.
Both
of
these
products
work
pretty
rapidly
and
you
usually
only
need
to be
on
them
for
2-3
weeks
before
trying
the
Natural
Calm
again.
4. If
you
have a
lot of
general
soreness,
aches
or
arthritis
pain
you
may
have
chronic
ongoing
inflammation throughout your
body.
This
can be
associated
with
poor
digestive
tract
health
and
“leaky
gut”
in
which
the
intestinal
lining
lets
irritating
substances
into
the
blood
stream.
This
can be
addressed
with
the
products
in
number
1
above.
This
chronic,
mild
inflammation
is one
of the
triggers
for
arthritis
and
can
also
make
you
restless
at
night.
The
best
overall
natural
product
I have
found
to
address
this
inflammation
directly
is
Xango.
It is
made
from
the
tropical
mangosteen
fruit
and
has
strong,
anti-inflammatory
and
anti-oxidant
properties
as
well
as
other
benefits.
Many
people
report
sleeping
better
with
this
product.
It
also
seems
to
elevate
mood
and
has
been
used
for
chronic
fatigue
and
depression
in
some
parts
of the
world
for a
long
time.
This
product
is
also
on my
site
at the
Quickshop
page
5. Low
serotonin
levels
can
contribute
both
to
sleeplessness
and
depression.
Often
milder
depression
is
mainly
experienced
as
“fatigue”
and
can go
unrecognized.
5-HTP
(5-hydroxytryptophan)
is the
substance
the
body
needs
to
produce
serotonin.
Supplementation
with
5-HTP
can
help
with
sleep
and
can
even
have a
mild
positive
effect
on
depression.
Because
it
makes
it
easier
for
the
body
to
make
serotonin,
it
needs
to be
coordinated
with
any
antidepressants
you
may be
taking.
Make
sure
to
consult
your
doctor
first
if you
are
already
on any
type
of
antidepressant.
Some
MD’s
will
help
you
balance
this,
as you
may
need
less
medication
if
used
in
conjunction
with
5-HTP.
Many
MD’s,
however,
don’t
want
to
take
the
trouble
to
balance
the
two.
The
5-HTP
is
simply
a form
of
tryptophan,
one of
the
common
amino
acids
in
food
(turkey
is
high
in it)
and
this
simply
gives
the
body
the
“food”
it
needs
to
effectively
make
serotonin
and is
very
safe.
5-HTP
is
also
available
on my
website.
